About our ministry and Directors…..

Rev. Michael and Min. Loretta Light are dynamic and anointed evangelist who have

dedicated their lives to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ since 1999. They are the

co-founders of Lights of Glory Ministries Inc. (LOGM) which was established in June,

2002 and incorporated as a not-for-profit ministry by the State of Indiana in 2004.

After years of membership at Clark Road Missionary Baptist Church in Gary, Indiana,

Rev Michael and his wife became members at Zion Travelers Missionary Baptist

Church of South Holland, Illinois in 1990, where in 1996, he began his life of ministry

as a Deacon. He was elevated and licensed to Associate Minister in January, 1999 and

served in this capacity until May of 2002. While there, Minister Loretta, answered the

call to ministry and was later licensed by Light of Glory Ministries. After 10 years of

membership and service at Zion, the Lights continued their ministry endeavors at

New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Gary, In., where they both served as

Associate Ministers from 2002 to 2004.

In 2002, he and his wife, were led by God to found Lights of Glory Ministries, Inc. in

Merrillville, In., which was created and established as an evangelistic ministry to

spread the Word of God and minister to the needs of the people, while both were also

ordained as a minister in 2002 by World Christianship Ministries. (LOGM) received

their church charter in 2002 and they served as Pastors in 2004 as well, and

eventually served at the Laurel Church Ministries in Merrillville. During this time, the

Lights continued their biblical preaching to churches and organizations, and

developed their own ministry radio program, “Times of Inspiration”, which aired on

“Rejoice” WYCA 102.3 Gospel radio, and their own on-line Christian book store. Rev.

Light was also led by the Lord, to author a book in 2005, entitled “God’s Principles of

Prosperity” which was designed to explain Biblical principles of finance to help

release God’s people from the bondage of debt. “Breaking the Bondage of Debt’

services have also been held by (LOGM) to teach these principles to various churches

as well.

In 2006, the Lights continued their ministry as members of Family Christian Center

in Munster, In., where they developed and taught biblical classes for the church’s

Equip ministry and also served as Altar ministers on the church’s Altar ministry,

which prayed and counseled those who answered the call of salvation through Christ. After

years of serving there, the Lord led them to Christian Revivlal Center in Merrillville, IN in

2013 where they continued to serve the Lord, and now they wait on the Lord to give

them their next assignment.

(LOGM) is also previously or currently covenant partnered with such world ministries as

Joel OsteenMinistries – Lakewood Church in Houston, TX., Bill Winston Ministries, Forest

Park, IL., T.D.Jakes – The Potter’s House – Dallas, TX, Jesse Duplantis Ministries- New

Orleans, LA.,and Rabbi Schneider with Discovering The Jewish Jesus in Dublin, OH., Pastor

Jimmy Evans, Marriage on the Rock ministries and also continue their support for other

organizations including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN and The

Northwest Indiana Food Bank in Gary, In.

In supporting these ministries, (LOGM) is able to take part in their world evangelism,

missionary and soul saving efforts and our ministry is blessed even more by doing the

will of God.

The Lights personal history is as rich as their ministry history. Rev. Michael was born

and raised in Gary, In., while Min. Loretta was born and raised in East Chicago, In,

and they both met at Indiana University where he received his Bachelors of Science

degree in Business Administration and she received her Bachelors of Arts in

Organizational Communications. Rev. Michael has over 25 years work experience in

management and sales with companies such as John Hancock Life Insurance,

Primerica Financial, Walgreens, Household Finance, Kmart and Creditcorp of

Indiana. He is currently employed with the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office, where he

has served as a case investigator and as Director of the Adult Protective Services

Unit. for 14 years.

Min. Loretta has over 20 years of work experience in sales, management & social

services with such companies Ulta 3 Cosmetics, JCPenny Cosmetics, Fashion Fair,

Ebone’, Beauty Control, Mary Kay, Avon and Color Me Beautiful to name a few. She

also has served in management for Creditcorp of Indiana, Primerica Financial and a

college instructor at Commonwealth Business College. She is currently employed with

the Lake County Division of Family and Children where she serves as a Family Case

Manager. The Lord has blessed the Lights with a marriage of over 34 years, and they

are the parents of 3 children and 4 grandchildren and currently reside in Merrillville,

In. Their marriage and family serves as a testimony to God’s greatness and as the

foundation for their ministry, as they continue towards their one vision and one

mission – World Evangelism, preaching and teaching the Word of God.
